Hi! I'm Monica, the creative spirit behind this project. Out of my passion for traveling, photography, and sharing experiences, Travelatoria was born at the beginning of 2022.

Who is Monica?
I would describe myself first and foremost as a positive, lively person, very ambitious, and always eager for new challenges.

I have a full-time job as a Java Developer, but I like to live by the quote: ‘Use the weekends to build the life you want, not to escape the life you have.‘ I’ve always enjoyed having different projects to invest my energy in during my free time, constantly learning new things, and not staying in a comfort zone.
I love to travel, discover new places, and especially do research before going to a destination. I’m very organized and I like to have everything in place before embarking on a new adventure, and my need for control makes me not leave this up to anyone else :). And yes, I’m the kind of person with a lot of notes, with a multi-page Word document created before each trip, spending hours on travel blogs, flight tickets, and Booking – sometimes just for fun.

At the beginning of 2022, I decided to dedicate more attention to this passion, and what better way to do that than through a travel blog?! The idea excited me even more because I had been wanting to learn Web Development for a long time, so I got to work.
I worked on this blog for several months, in the evenings after work, on weekends, and during most of my free time. I learned everything from scratch and poured all my energy, joy, and trust into it. Travelatoria is my passion project, representing a lot of time and effort invested. It’s the place where I write my most beautiful memories and where I feel like I’m on vacation every day.
